Defined operations
The operations RELY can take off your team’s plate.
The exact process varies by product. The operating principle does not: define the incoming condition, define the work, define what acceptable output looks like, then build the process around those requirements.
Labeling & product identification
Apply or replace approved labels, barcodes, identification and accompanying product information, including relabeling existing inventory to a new revision. Output: product identified to the approved revision and requirements.
Repackaging & packout changes
Move product into an approved packaging configuration, replace packaging, add inserts or prepare a revised packout. Output: product packaged and identified for the agreed next destination.
Product preparation & configuration
Defined steps before assembly, installation, packaging or shipment: cutting PVC, tubing and hose to length, depalletizing and downstacking, counting and bagging, line-side preparation and product reconfiguration. Output: product in the agreed condition and quantity for the next operation.
Taping, drilling & light assembly
Defined taping, drilling, component installation and limited assembly steps that complement a broader manufacturing process, run to an approved instruction and fixture where needed. Inspection within the workflow
Agreed checks built into the operation, with exceptions identified, segregated and reported according to the program requirements. Output: output checked to the agreed criteria, with exceptions documented. Parts on hold for a quality problem? Go to Part Sorting, Containment & Rework.
Returns & approved product recovery
Returned product inspected against your rules, then returned to stock, reworked, reconfigured, repackaged, relabeled, reclaimed, recycled or disposed of under structured disposition decisions. Output: each unit routed to the disposition you approved, with documentation.
Operational ownership
Give the work an owner, a standard and a release point.
Moving the task is only useful if someone also owns the process around it. A RELY program establishes what arrives, what must happen, how the work is checked and what counts as acceptable output.

Material ownershipPrograms can run on customer-supplied materials, RELY-procured materials or a hybrid arrangement. Purchasing, inventory ownership, replenishment, and excess or obsolete material are defined in the commercial scope before work begins. RELY works inside the authority you set: engineering changes, scrapping customer property and any release outside the agreed criteria come back to you for approval.

Yes, where the scope fits. A program can focus on a single defined operation or combine several related steps. The incoming condition, required output, material responsibilities and handoff are established together.

Work follows the approved configuration, instructions and agreed checks. Changes and exceptions are handled through the program’s defined approval and escalation process.
Is this the same as kitting or fulfillment?
