RELY · Case Study · Retail display programSTORE-READY DISPLAYS

FOR BRAND, OPERATIONS AND SUPPLY CHAIN LEADERS

The retailer stopped building displays in the store.

The work didn't disappear. 1,720 floor displays still had to be built, and every one had to arrive store-ready at 15 distribution centers.

RELY turned inbound product and display components into store-ready floor displays, shipped them in waves to each DC's pickup, and handled the exceptions while building continued.

A promotional display has one ship window. It does not move.

A national tool brand's retailer moved to pre-built floor displays for a fourth-quarter promotion. Product came from overseas by ocean container. Every display had to be built and on a truck inside the retailer's pickup schedule.

THE EXCEPTIONS RELY OWNED WHILE BUILDING CONTINUED

  • 600 pieces short

Found on recount at receiving and reported before the build started.

  • About 30 displays repaired

Displays with torn fins fixed on site before they shipped.

  • Pallets backfilled

Pallet supply filled from RELY stock when inbound pallets ran short.

  • 15/15 POs shipped by Sep 4

One load was split by the carrier; RELY rebooked it Aug 31.

HOW IT WAS CONTROLLED

Shipping started mid-build. The first DC pickups left while the second shift was still building. Every display was built to a released work instruction with a quality alert covering assembly, product facing and placards.

Shortages, damage and a split load did not stop the program. All 15 POs shipped. Expect that of a display partner.
